Directed by Muhiddin Muzaffar from Tajikistan, and coproduced by Amir Tajik from Iran and Dmitriy Pirkulov from Russia, the movie was unveiled in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe.
The Iranian entertainment TV network iFilm made the movie in cooperation with its Tajikistani and Russian partners.
A number of officials of cinema, a group of cultural Iranian and Tajikistani officials, and Iran's Ambassador to Dushanbe Alireza Haqiqian attended the unveiling ceremony.
Haqiqian expressed his delight over the cooperation in cinema and said Iran and Tajikistan enjoy great joint cultural capacity and resource to cooperate on.
He also noted the progressing relations between the countries and offered the artists to collaborate on introducing the historical treasury of the one nation in Iran and Tajikistan to the world.
Morteza Shamsi, the representative of the IRIB's World Service talked about the history of Persian language in the region and said the countries should seize the opportunity to increase the concordance.
Muzaffar said “We share the same language and the same culture with Iran. This is reason for cooperation between the countries. And the cooperation gets easier when we share the same concepts and trust each other.”
The filming took 45 days in several Tajikistani cities from the north to the south of the country, he added.
The director of Tajikfilm, Muhammad Said Shohiyon, who was present in the unveiling ceremony, appreciated the director of the joint movie which was made with cooperation of “Iranian brothers” in Persian language.
The Iranian producer Tajik spoke at the ceremony and hailed Tajikistan’s hospitality as Tehran and Dushanbe share common language, beliefs and culture.
He expressed hope that the movie would be screened internationally.
‘Fish on the Hook’, now in post-production phase, is a 105-minute movie and its first public screening will be in Iran.
